Reason #1 - You don't know your Human Design
Reason #2 - You’re trying to make everything perfect.
You might know your Type, but beyond that, you don’t know anything about your Human Design – and you don’t know what to do with any of that information in the first place.
Understanding the basics of your Human Design means having a deeper recognition of how you’re naturally designed to work, to make decisions, and where you might be influenced by others (and conversely, where you might have more influence over others).
Reason #3 - You’ve got a false impression of what it takes to run a business.
You’re a tester, an experimenter. But with all that testing comes decision fatigue and option overwhelm. Too many fonts, too many color palettes, too many Instagram presets. Not to mention – a lot of time spent on all of this experimenting.
When you have a strong relationship with your Higher Self and a clear vision of what you’re currently working toward in every area of your life, you start to work on things from the perspective of the Big Picture. This lets you maintain consistency – across the board – and give time back to what matters.
Reason #4 - You’re consuming more than you’re creating.
Entrepreneur. Solopreneur. Mompreneur. Whatever you want to call it – but you do it solo, right? Pull yourself up by the bootstraps and do it all until you’re a millionaire, right? Wrong.
Instead of trying to wear ALL THE HATS required to run your life and business effectively, it’s time for you to take inventory of where your time is going. Even if you’re not outsourcing all the things you don’t want to do, hiring out is a great way to start demonstrating to yourself that you’re actually the boss.
Reason #5 - You’re waiting for yourself to be “ready.”
You say you don’t have enough time to work out, to go out to lunch with your kids, to go to book club with your friends, let alone to take a real vacation with your family – “I’ll do it when I reach [insert next income level and/or professional accolade here].” But you’re not creating anything new, you’re not on sales calls, and you’re not with clients… In fact, you’re mostly just scrolling on Instagram and binging people’s Stories.
Planning intentionally for your whole life, not just your business + financial goals, will keep you on the right track. You’ll be more consistent in performing professionally and actually finishing the projects you start, as well as filling your cup from other areas of your life.
Sure, there are things you’d like to do for yourself. Get regular massages. Go to the spa. Take a nice trip with your family. Book a luxury hotel experience. Eat beautiful meals in beautiful places. Hire an assistant. Get a professional logo. Get a personal trainer. The list goes on and on… But you couldn’t possibly do any of that now.
Here’s an opportunity to adjust how you see yourself. You’ve already gotten this far, with your current personal resources – if you could get to the next level without any extra support, you’d be there by now, don’t you think? What if the difference between you, today, and the version of you who’s reaching that next level is a regular massage appointment, or an assistant to maintain your schedule for you? Ready is a lie.
